3.4 Management of the HG556a

3.4.1 Home Page

To log in to the configuration page, do as follows:

1. Launch the Internet Explorer and enter http://192.168.1.1 (the default LAN IP

address of the HG556a) in the address bar. Then press Enter to display the login

window.

2. Enter the user name (vodafone by default) and password (vodafone by default). Then

you can see the home page of the HG556a.

Figure 3-1 shows the Welcome to the Vodafone DSL Router page.

Choose Vodafone DSL Router > Service Status in the navigation tree to display the

status of the HG556a, including:

Internet: the main information about the connections of the HG556a

WiFi: the information and status of the Wi-Fi interface

Telephony: the information about the telephony service

Figure 3-2 shows the Service status page.
